FSVH is committed to ending veteran homelessness—one home, one community, and one life at a time.

Mission

Our goal is to end veteran homelessness by creating access to safe, stable, and sustainable housing for those who have served our nation. We are dedicated to restoring dignity, building opportunity, and fostering community for veterans at risk—because no one who fought for our freedom should have to fight for a place to live.

Through innovative housing solutions, wraparound support services, and strategic partnerships, we empower veterans to reclaim their independence and thrive in civilian life. Every home we build is a promise kept—to honor, uplift, and never forget those who’ve sacrificed so much.

FSVH is committed to ending veteran homelessness—one home, one community, and one life at a time- by revitalizing veteran halls into spaces of support, purpose and belonging.

Vision

We envision a nation where every veteran has access to safe, affordable housing and the support they need to thrive. At FSVH, we strive to create a future where veteran homelessness is a thing of the past, and all who served can live with dignity, security, and purpose.

Through bold innovation, community collaboration, and an unyielding commitment to justice, we are building not just homes—but foundations for new beginnings.

According to Joe Mindak, executive director of FSVH, “The foundation is not just about providing a physical structure, it’s about creating a home, helping the veterans integrate into the community”.

Strategy

At the Foundation for Sustainable Veteran Housing (FSVH), we don’t just build housing—we build futures.

Our work in New Jersey is the blueprint. We develop and restore spaces familiar to veterans into safe, sustainable, and supportive housing reducing the number of homeless or at risk veterans. Our work doesn’t stop at the front door. We work with partners in the community to provide comprehensive support services designed to help veterans rebuild their lives with dignity and direction. We also work to revitalize veteran halls not just as homes, but as gathering places where veterans of all generations can find connection, purpose, and camaraderie.
